Suites & Arena Overview
PPG Paints Arena, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is home to the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League (NHL). When not in use by the Penguins, the building frequently serves as a concert venue and host to family shows.
The facility is owned by the Sports and Exhibition Authority of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. PPG Paints Arena is operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group.
The venue was previously named Consol Energy Center until PPG Industries took over naming rights in October, 2016.
Notable events hosted at PPG Paints Arena include the 2013 NCAA Frozen Four, second/third round games during the 2012 and 2015 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournaments and the WWE’s Royal Rumble 2014. Notable musical performers to take the PPG Paints Arena stage include Paul McCartney, Christina Aguilera, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, George Strait, Reba McEntire and Cher.

Host to more than 150 events each year, PPG Paints Arena offers a multitude of entertainment opportunities. Many VIP seating areas and private luxury boxes are available only through annual or multi-year leases; others can be booked for single events. Tickets in suites can rarely be purchased individually. PPG Paints Arena can accommodate groups and parties of various sizes. Suite types for rent and for sale include:
- 12 Person Suites (seat 12-20)
- Club Suites (seat 16-30)
- 18 Person Suites (seat 18-30)
- 24 Person Suites (seat 24-40)
- Party Suites (seat 30-50)
- Suite 66 (seats up to 26)
Located on the Fifth Avenue end of the building, PPG Paints Arena features four Jim Beam Party Suites, which are typically better suited to large groups, are often available for a single game (as opposed to full season leases), and sometimes include food and beverage in the cost. In addition to the listings publicly displayed on the SuiteHop Marketplace, we are often able to help clients secure both private and Party Suites through our offline network.
Private Rentals & Suite Ticket Prices
Premium full suite rentals are available for popular games and special events. Tickets for the full suite typically fall within the range of $6,500 to $16,000 depending on the size and location of the luxury box. The same suites for lower demand games and events can often be reserved for half the price. Individual suite tickets are comparably priced to seats in the Club sections or other premium seat sections at PPG Paints Arena.
Jim Beam Party Suites usually rent for $9,500 to $12,000 per event based on the opponent or day of game. Food and beverage cost is included in the rental of a Pittsburgh Penguin Party Suite. Suite 66 typically rents for $16,000 per day and also includes the cost of food and beverage service.
Annual Suite Leases
Full-season leases are available directly from the Pittsburg Penguins and PPG Paints Arena, ranging from $115,000 to $250,000 per year. Lease terms are offered in five, seven and ten year installments. Suite owners with annual leases are generally allowed to buy additional non-suite tickets, as well as 8 to 20 Standing Room Only (SRO) suite tickets per game (actual number dependent upon size of suite being leased). Three to six VIP Parking passes will also be provided.
Renting a PPG Paints Arena Suite Through SuiteHop

Renting a PPG Paints Arena Suite Through The Venue
Pricing through the box office is determined by team and/or venue management. Suite pricing is not typically published online and often requires offline contact with a sales representative. Large “Party Suites” sometimes sell individual tickets as part of a shared environment, while private suites usually require purchase of the entire space.Benefits of buying through the venue may include…

Suite Amenities & Design Features
PPG Paints Arena suites are configured with extra wide, theater-style seats and bar stools. A wet bar, refrigerator, and ice maker come standard in all suites as well as two high definition flat screen televisions and a YinzCam IPTV. Each suite includes marble countertops and decorative backsplashes.
All suites are climate-controlled, with great views of the game action. Restrooms are located in suites built to accommodate 16 or more guests. Smaller suites feature well-appointed restrooms in the common areas. PPG Paints Arena features over 800 HDTVs and one concession point for every 158 visitors.
Suite Access & Additional Meeting Spaces
PPG Paints Arena features an executive boardroom and conference rooms for use during non-event times. Non-event day access to the suite and meeting space is available, with pricing based on the particular day of use and specific needs of the interested party (approximate $750.00 rental rate per conference room). Suite owners, renters, and guests are invited to enter their suite through special VIP entrance in the parking garage up to 90 minutes before an event and stay up to 60 minutes following the event’s conclusion. On event days, those holding premium seat tickets are also able to use Club areas throughout PPG Paints Arena.
The arena’s four 660 square foot conference rooms (A, B, C, and D) can be combined into a single space to accommodate up to 200 guests. The spaces are Wi-Fi ready and equipped with surround sound and audio/visual equipment. The 11,000 square foot Trib Total Media Lobby can host groups of up to 800 guests and features stunning views of downtown Pittsburgh. The lobby boasts high ceilings and an LED video board for personalized messages (rents for approximately $2,000 per day).
Catering & Concierge Services
Attendees at PPG Paints Arena events may not bring outside food or beverages into the arena. Please see the venue’s A to Z Guide for complete details. Suite holders and guests have opportunities to access to restaurants, bars, and concession stands throughout the facility. Food and beverage service is provided by Aramark. The Miller Lite Brewhouse, located on the upper concourse, can accommodate receptions for up to 150 guests and offers great views of the arena floor. The 400 square foot Executive Dining Room features upscale seating for up to 14 guests and rents for $500 per evening.
PPG Paints Arena suite holders will be provided three to six parking passes per event (additional passes available for purchase). VIP parking is available at the venue’s attached private indoor parking garage. Valet service is not available at this time.

Restrooms are located in those PPG Paints Arena suites built to accommodate 16 or more guests. Smaller suites feature well-appointed restrooms in the common areas.
PPG Paints Arena offers two unique clubs which feature bistro and bar service, enabling guests to watch live action while entertaining family and friends. The First Niagara Club, located near the Trib Total Media Lobby, features contemporary décor with white glass high-top tables and a backlit bar. The 4,800 square foot Captain Morgan Club, outfitted with traditional décor and a Pittsburgh Penguin theme, offers seating for up to 300 guests and an array of Pennsylvania hockey memorabilia. This full-service bar is located off the lower concourse and provides direct access to sections 111-113 during events. Tickets are required for most special areas.
